Privacy Policy
Postpone It is made by Serhii Borysov, an independent developer based in Portugal. In this policy, “we” means the developer. If you have a question, write to support@postponeit.app.
The short version
- We don't collect your data. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking.
- Your items stay on your device. With Pro, they also sync through your own private iCloud database, which we cannot access.
- If you email us, we use your message only to answer you.
What the app keeps on your device
Everything you save, such as text, links, pictures, notes and the times you choose, is stored on your device inside the app. It never reaches us.
Sync with Pro
When you have Pro and turn Sync on, your items are copied to the private database in your iCloud account through Apple's CloudKit, so your other devices signed in to the same Apple Account can show them. They are encrypted in transit and stored in your iCloud account. Only your devices can read them; we cannot. Apple stores this data under its own privacy policy. When you turn Sync off, your items stay on the device.
Link previews
When you save a link, the app fetches the page's title and picture directly from that website, so you recognise it later. When you open a saved link, the page loads from that website inside the app. Like any visit, the website receives your IP address and a standard browser request. Nothing passes through us, because we run no servers. The page keeps no cookies after you close it. You can turn link previews off in Settings → Link previews.
Purchases
Apple handles every purchase. We never receive your payment details or your Apple Account details. The app confirms your purchase on the device through Apple's StoreKit.
Notifications
Notifications are scheduled on your device. Their content never passes through us.
Saving from other apps
The share sheet, the Safari extension on Mac, widgets, Siri and Shortcuts hand over only what you choose to save, and only to the app on your device. The Safari extension reads the clicked link, your selected text or the page address only when you choose Postpone It in its menu.
Photos
The app asks for access to Photos only when you choose to save a picture there.
Crash reports
If you allow sharing with app developers in your device's privacy settings, Apple may send us crash reports and usage statistics. They do not identify you.
Emails to support
When you write to support@postponeit.app, we use your email address and message only to answer you. We delete the conversation 12 months after it ends. Our mail is hosted by Apple's iCloud Mail.
This website
This website is hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub logs visitors' IP addresses for security, as described in the GitHub General Privacy Statement. The site itself uses no cookies, no analytics and no tracking.
Your data, your choice
- Export: Settings → Export my data saves a file with all your items.
- Delete from one device: Settings → Delete all local items. With Sync on, your items stay in iCloud and on your other devices, and return on the next sync.
- Delete from iCloud: turn Sync off on every device, then delete Postpone It's data in your device's iCloud storage settings.
- Deleting the app removes its data from that device.
Your rights
Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation, you can ask what personal data we hold about you and ask us to correct or delete it. Write to support@postponeit.app. In practice, the only personal data we can hold is an email conversation with you. You can also complain to the Portuguese data protection authority, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (www.cnpd.pt).
Children
Postpone It is suitable for all ages. It collects no personal data from anyone, children included.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will publish the new version on this page with a new effective date.
